Port replicator is another term for a docking station, which is like a "cradle" for using your Toshiba laptop at a desk. Which operating system do I need to have when transferring files to my gigabeat®? To transfer MP3, WMA, WAV and other files from your laptop to your gigabeat you'll need to run one of the following

How do I change the names/titles of artists/songs on my gigabeat?
Start by placing the cursor over the listing you want to change. Right click, then select "Change Name" from the menu.
How do I transfer music files to my gigabeat?
There are two ways of downloading MP3, WMA and WAV files onto your PC for use on your gigabeat. One is by ripping a CD and saving the music files on your PCs hard drive. The other is by purchasing music files from online content providers such as eMusic and accessing the downloaded files through Windows Media Player (WMP) 11.
To transfer music files to your gigabeat, simply connect it to the PC via USB cable. A gigabeat window will pop up on your screen and will direct you to WMP 11 (make sure to click the Complete button, or it will not take you to WMP 11). Once youre in WMP 11, assemble the list of music you wish to transfer and press Synch. The program will automatically begin transferring data to your gigabeat.
How do I store data in my gigabeat as backup?
Connect your gigabeat to your PC via USB and open WMP 11. Select the files on your gigabeat you wish to store, and drag the data over to Synch List. The data will be saved into WMP 11.
How do I delete video data on my gigabeat?
Click the Sync tab, click the Select a category button, and select Video. Click the gigabeat T Series library in the tree view shown on the left. Right-click the video data you want to delete and select Delete in the displayed menu. A dialog box to confirm the deletion will appear. Select OK. The data you have selected will be deleted from your gigabeat.
How do I transfer recorded TV programs to my gigabeat?
The transfer steps are the same as the steps explained in the how do I transfer video data to my gigabeat? FAQ above. The only difference is that you must select Recorded TV instead of Video from the Select a category button.
Can I transfer photos to my gigabeat? If so, how?
Yes. Connect the gigabeat to your PC via USB. Open WMP 11 and youll see a music note icon on the top left hand corner of the screen. Once you click it, a list will scroll down with several commands (such as video, audio, picture exc.). Select picture and the system will be ready to synch photo contents (same process as transferring music).
How do I attach album art to each song?
Simply open WMP 11 and display the album you wish to attach the preferred art. Then, select the art and drag it to the album (transferring takes roughly a minute).
How do I create a separate list for storing my favorite songs?
There is a Library tab displayed on WMP 11. Click on it, and a menu labeled Create play list will appear. Open Create play list and begin dragging the songs you wish to store. Finally, click on the Un-named play list button and create a name for your new play list.
How do I replace a burned-out or defective projector lamp?
Replacing a projector lamp is quite simple, and something you can do without sending your equipment in for service. Check your product manual for specific steps. But always wait till the existing lamp has completely cooled before attempting to remove it. Then turn off the power and unplug all connections and cables.
What are the benefits of Extreme Short Projection (ESP) technology?
ESP technology can produce a large image from a shorter distance, which is especially helpful in small spaces such as offices, classrooms and living rooms. ESP solves the problem of both screen shadowing and eye glare. With the projector set so close to the screen or wall, presenters can stand nearby without blocking the image or having the projector's light beam shine in their eyes.
What is an ANSI lumen?
Developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), lumens are the industry's standard measurement of projector brightness.
How many lumens or brightness do I need?
Projectors with 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness are suitable for use in conference rooms or classrooms, even with little or no ambient light.
If you plan using a projector as part of a home theater you may want to consider one with 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness.
Projectors with higher lumen counts give you the flexibility of presenting to larger audiences and onto larger screens with minimal distortion.

How do I clean the lens of my projector?
For a dust-free image, the projector's lens should be cleaned regularly using a commercially available blower brush and/or lens cleaner. But be sure to handle the lens carefully, because it can easily be scratched. And never use paper towels or tissue.
What is a Dynadock?
Dynadock is a universal docking station with video output that lets you to easily connect all of your workspace peripherals? monitors, printers and more with only one USB cable. It's available with either a VGA or DVI video port.

What kind of warranty does Toshiba offer on its accessories?

How long will my Toshiba laptop battery last before I need to replace it?
The longevity of Toshiba batteries is measured by how many times the battery can be charged and subsequently discharged. The technical term for this is "cycle times". Battery replacement time will vary depending on various factors including usage settings and conditions. After a period of time, the battery will lose its ability to perform at maximum capacity and will need to be replaced. This is normal for all batteries.
